REMOVAL
• Lift and support the fuel tank with the fuel tank prop stay.
(5-3)
• Remove the regulator/rectifier 1. (10-40)
• Remove the under cowling. (8-5 to -6)
• Support the motorcycle with a jack relieve no load on the rear
shock absorber.
• Remove the rear shock absorber upper and lower mounting
bolts and nuts.
• Take out the rear shock absorber.
INSPECTION
Inspect the shock absorber body and bushing for damage and
oil leakage.
If any defects are found, replace the shock absorber with a new
one.
Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock absorber
unit. It is unserviceable.
