1. Remove the right-hand crankcase half bolts
(.'ig ur e 260 ) .

clamp (Fi
gure 261). They mu st be reinstalled in
th e same location.
2 3. Tap on the ri ghI-hand crankcase with a plastic
mallet and separate the 2 halves.

24. Lift the right-hand crankcase off of the lefl-
hand crankca se.
25. Rem ove both trans mi ssion assemblies and the
internal shift mechanism from th e crankcase as
