REAR SUSPENSION

Loosen

e rear
ax
le
nut (Figu

2).
3.
Shift the transmission into
NEUTRAL.
4.
Pl
ace wood block(s) under the engine and
frame to support the bike securely with the rear
whee
l
off
the
groun
d.
5.
Loosen the drive belt adjus
ter
nut (A.
Figure
3) and loosen the adjust boll (

Figure
3) on each
s
id
e
of
the swing arm so the wheel can be moved
f
orward
for maximum belt slack.
6.
Comp
letely unscrew the r
ear
brake adjusting
nut (
Figure
4).
7.
Depress the brake pedal and remove the brake
cab
le fr
om
the pivot
joint
in
the brake
arm.
Install
the pivot joint and adjusting nut onto the end of
the brake
cable to avoid misplacing them.
