Don't lose the spac

cushion.

To repla
ce
the

nister,

orm the following:
a. Remove the screws securing
th
e ca
ni
ster cover
and move the cover up off
of
the base.
b.
Di

nnect the
vac
uum ho
se
No.1
and
No
. 4
from the old c
har
c
oa
l
ca
ni
s
ter
and
tr
ans
fe
r
them to the new c
har
coa
l canist
er
.
c.
Slide
the cover back
down
and reinstall the
screw
s.

In
stall
by
reversing these removal steps.
7.
Be
sure to
in
stall the hoses 10 their
co
r
re
ct filling
on the c
har
coa
l
ca
ni
ster and the vacuum
con
trol
valves.
8.
Make sure the hoses
are
not kinked. twisted
or
in
co
ntact with any s
harp
surfaces.

SYSTEM

exhaust system is a vital performance
compo
nent and frequentl
y.

of its design,
it is a
vuln
erable
piece
of
equipment.
Check
the
exhaust system
fo
r
deep
dents and frac
tur
es
and
re
pair
or
replace them immediately.
Check
th
e
cy
linder head mounting flanges for tightness. A
loose exhaust pipe c
onne
ction can r
ob
the en
gi

of
power.

bolts and mu st be kept

and discard the
cylinder
head gasket.

Remove the nuts, was

rubber
cushions
securing the
mumcr
to the

er hanger. Don't
lose

e spac
er
located within each rubber cushion.
4. Move the exhaust system forward and withdraw
the system out from the frame.
5.
To separate the
mum
er from the exhaust pipe,
perf
or
m the following:
a.
Remove the bolt
and
clamp
securing the
re
ar
heat shield
and
remove the heat shie
ld
.
