Removal/Installation
I. Remove the seat and rear handle as described
in
this chapter.

Remo
ve
the
vo
ltage regulator/rectifier
as
described
in
Chapter Eight.
3.
Di
sco
nn
ect the electrical connectors for the
taillight/brake light assembly and the license plate
light.
It
is
not
necessary
to
remove e
ith
er
assembl
y-they
can remain anached
to
the rear
fe
nder.
4. Re
mov
e the rear wheel
as
described
in
Chapter
Ten.
S.
Disconnect any electrical wires
fr
om
clamps
above and bel
ow
the fe
nd
er.
6.
Remove the bol
ts
and lockwashers securing the
rear fender
to
the frame
and
remove the rear
fender.
7.
In
stall
by
reversing these removal step
s.
8.
Ti
g
ht
en
the bol ts secur
ely.
