the solenoid .
4. Remove the screws securing the solenoid to the
frame and remove the solenoid.

Replace

on the large terminal

lighten the nuts secur
ely.
Make sure
th
e electrical connectors are on light
and that the rubber
boot
is properly installed to
keep o
ut
moisture.
LIGHTING SYSTEM
The ligh
ti
ng system consists
of
a headlight.
taillighl/brllke
light, directional
li
ghls, indicator
li
ghts and a speedometer illuminalion light. Table

Always usc the correct wallage bulb as indicllled
in
this section.
The
use
of
a larger wal1age bulb
will give a dim light and a smaller
wal1age bulb
will burn out prematurely.
Headlight
Bulb
and Lens Replacement
Refer to

e 54

r Ihis procedure.
\. Remove
th
e screw (
Figur
e 55) on each side, at
the boltom
of
the headlight case.
2. Pu
ll
out on the bollom
of
the headlight trim ring
and disengage it from the headlight case. Remove
the trim ring and headlight lens unit assembly.
3.
Disconnect the electrical connector (Figu
re
56)
from the backside
of
the bu lb.
4. Remove the rubber cover (Figu
re
57) from Ihe
back of the headlight bulb.
CAUTION
Carefully read all instructions shipped
with the replacement quartz bulb. Do
not touch
the bulb glass with your
fingers as any
t
raas
of
skin oil on the
quartz halogen bulb will
drastically
reduce bu
lb
life.
Clean any traces
of
oilfrom
the
bulb wi
th
a cloth moi
stenelJ
in
alcohol or lacquer thinner.
5.
Unhook the clip (
Figur
e 58) and remove Ihe
light bulb (Fig
ur
e 59). Replace with
II
new bulb.
