17. Install the flywheel onto the left-hand side of
the crankshaft as fo ll ows:
a. Install the fl ywheel OniO the crankshaft.
b. Install the washer with the dished side facing
out and
in stall the nut finger-tight.
c. Insta
ll Suzuki special tool , Flywheel Holder
(part No. 09930-3 2410 ) (F igur e 258) onto the
fl ywheel with 2 bolts (A, Fig ur e 259).
d.
Install Suzuki special tool. 46 mm socket (part
No. 09923- l2410 ) (Figure 258) O ni O the
fl ywheel nul (8. Figure 259).
c. Hold onto the fl ywheel and tighten the
fl ywheel nut to the torque specification listed
in Table 2.
f. Rem ov e the s pe cial tools.
18 . Apply blue Loctite Thr eadlocker (No. 242) to
the
bolt threads prior to insta ll ation. In sta ll the
countcrbalancer bolt and
wa sher. Tighten the bo ll
to the torque specification listed
in Tab le 2.
19 . Install the neutral switch contact as shown in
Figure 266.
20. In stall th e neutral switch spring (Fig ur e 256).
2 1. Install the neutral switch and screws (A.
Figure 254). Tighten th e screws sec ur el y. Make
sure the rubber grommet (8,
Figur e 254) is
secure ly seated in the crankcase groove.

In stall the starter idle gears as de sc ribed in this
chapter.
23. Install the oil
pump washer ( Figure 253) and
drive pin (
Figure 252).
24. Install the
oi l pump driven gear ( Figure 251).
25. Pull up on the oil pump shaft and
in sta ll and
ci rclip ( Figure 250). Make sure the circlip is
located correctly in the shaft groove.
26. Align the punch marks on the camsha
ft drive
sprocket (A,
Figure 267) with the crankshaft (8.

gure 267) and in stall the drive sprocket.

28. Insta
ll the primary drive gear ( Figure 247) .
29. Position the lockwasher with the dished side
facing up and
in stall the lockwasher ( Figure 246).
30. Insta ll the clutch as desc ri bed und er Clutch
Assemblyllnstallation
in Chapter Five.
