Disconnect the

Remove the clip (A. Figure 3) securing the
throllie cable and unhook the throllie cable from
the
thrOllle wheel (8. Figure 3).

disconnect
the
evaporative emission tube (A. Fig
ur
e 4) from the
carburetor.

Loosen the screw on the clamping bands (8.
Figure 4) on each end of the carburetor. Slide the
clamping bands
away
from
th
e carburetor.

Pull the carburetor toward
th
e r
ear
a
nd
free it
from the intake tube on the cyli
nd
er head.

full
y remove
th
e carburetor from the
eng
in
e and frame and take
it
to a workbench
for
di
sasse
mbl
y and cleaning.

Make sure the carburetor is fully seated
forward
in
the rubb
er
holder
in
th
e
cy
linder head.
You
should
feel
a sol
id
"bottoming
out"
when it
is correctly seated.

e sure

e screws on
th
e cla

ing bands
are tight
to
avoid a vacuum loss and possible
va
l
ve
damage due to a lean fuel
mi
xture.
