a.
To
remove the
ri
g
ht
- and le
ft
-hand bearings
and distance collar. insert a soft-aluminum or
brass
drift
into
one
side of
the
hub.
b.
Push the distance collar over to one side and
place the drift on the inner race of the lower
bearing.
c.
Tap the bearing out
of
the hub with a hamme
r.
working around the perimeter
of
the i
nn
er
race.
d. Repeat for the other bearing.

Clean the inside and the outside of the hub with
solve
nt
. Dry with compressed air.
Assembly
I. On non-sealed bearings, pack the bearings with
a good-quality b
ear
ing grease. Work the grease
in
