Remove the drive shaft.
In order to avoid damaging the crankcase, in the
cover place a rag between the case and table.
Check drive shaft and gear for wear or damage.
Special tool:
Shaft protector
Caution
y If non- essential do not remove the drive
shaft from the case upper side.
y If remove the drive shaft from the gear box,
then its bearing and oil seal has to be
replaced.
Remove the final shaft cir clip and washer.
Remove the final shaft.
