2.2 MONITORING HEART RATE
If the heart rate detection device is of the
coded type (refer to the optional accessories,
in paragraph 1.2.3), the data generated by
the chest band is transmitted in coded form,
that is, by a specific chest band to be used
with that specific equipment and not any
other. As a result, interference with nearby
equipments is avoided and a more precise
measurement of the heart rate is obtained.
WARNING
The only function of the heart rate
monitor is to show heart rate during
exercise and excludes any diagnostic
use of a medical nature; it is not for
detection of heart anomalies or
problems. The heart rate shown on the
display is only indicative and cannot
be considered absolutely certain.
