3.10 Performance Index (P.I.)
Technogym created the performance index
to provide a concise evaluation of the
finished workout in a form that can be easily
compared with others.
To have your performance index for any
workout shown on the display, all you have
to do is use the heart rate meter (chest band)
for at least three minutes.
P.I. = 56
The index is based on a rating of 0 to 99.
The better your performance, the higher your
aerobic capacity.
An increase in your performance index
means that, heart rate being equal, you are
able to exercise harder.
The criteria used to rate performance make
it possible to compare tests taken by people
of different ages. In any case, it is better to
compare the results of different tests taken
by the same person - or different people -
working out at the same intensity for the same
amount of time.
