Connectors
The
CH
1
OR
X
and
CH
2
ORY
Input
Connectors
connect
signals
to
the
inputs
of
the
deflection
systems.
Coding-ring
contacts
on
the
CH
1
and
CH
2
input
connectors
are
used
to
automatically
switch
the
scale
factor
in
the
crt
readout
when
a
probe
with
probe
coding,
as
shown
in
Table
5-1,
is
attached
to
an
input
connector.
In
X-Y
mode,
the
signal
connected
to
the
CH
1
OR
X
input
controls
the
horizontal
deflection,
and
the
signal
connected
to
the
CH
2
ORY
input
controls
the
vertical
deflection.
NOTE
We
recommend
that
you
use
Tektronix
Probes
because
the
identity
pin
will
allow
the
2212
to
automatically
display
a
readout
with
corrected
sensitivity.
