Introduction
The 4225-RPM Remote Amplifier/Switch Module is an accessory for the 4225-PMU UltraFast Pulse
Measure Unit that allows you:
To extend the current measurement ranges of the PMU to the 100 nA range. The RPM adds the
following current ranges to the 4225-PMU: 100 nA, 1 μA, 10 μA, 100 μA, 1 mA, and 10 mA.
To switch automatically between dc I-V, C-V, and pulsed I-V measurements without
changing cables.
This section provides an example of how to use the 4225-RPM to switch the SMU, CVU, and
4225-PMU and make dc I-V, C-V, and pulsed I-V measurements to a single device without having to
reconnect the device between measurements.
For this example, you:
Make connections from two SMUs, one CVU, and the two-channel PMU to the inputs of two
4225-RPMs.
Make connections from the outputs of the two 4225-RPMs to a diode.
Generate dc I-V, C-V, and pulsed I-V measurements.
