ZIGZAG

ZIGZAG est le deuxièmes point machine après le point droit. Il est appliqué dans le
crépissage des bords, dans la couture des boutons, dans la couture des
boutonnières, mais aussi de la broderie, couture décorative à l’aide des points satinés
(zigzag très épais). Cousez en utilisant un pied presseur universel ou des pieds presseurs
spécialisés (pour les boutons, pour le point satiné, pour la broderie, etc.).
TRIPLE POINT ZIGZAG - doit être utiliser pour nir les bords du tissu sur les tissus
élastiques (p.ex. maillots de bain en élasthanne) ou sur des tissus qui ont tendance à
plisser après la couture. Ce point s’étend avec le tissu. Il convient aussi au reprisage et à
la réparation des déchirures, pour coudre des rubans élastiques Cousez avec le point
le bord du tissu ensuite coupez le morceau inutile du tissu. Utilisez un pied presseur
universel ou un pied spécial pour le zigzag.

Simple zigzag stitching is widely used for overcastting, sewing on buttons etc.
Overlock stitch
This type of stitch is used on the seam allowance to prevent fabrics from fraying at raw edges.
Overedge stitch
Overedge stitch will be done most successfuly when the right side stitches of zigzag fall
slightly off the edge of the fabric.
