ENGINE REASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION FOR CROSS BARS
– Counterbore

INSTALLING TIMING CHAIN.
1. Check wether the camshaft is at the crossing
point.
The position of the camshaft is as
illustrated

.
The marking

ends flush with the cross bar.
2. If the camshaft does not appear as illustrated,
turn the camshaft.
3. Hold the TDC-adjusting tool

in position.
Observe the positioning pin and positioning
bore

.
Use the bolts M10x1x35 that you removed from the
rotor.

7 mm: Install two bolts

6. Insert four cross bars

assembly instruction for cross bars.)
7. Install eight nuts

and washers according to
the specification Cylinder head nuts. (See
section D Tightening torques und assembly
instructions.)
8. Check the tie rod thread protrusion according
to the specification Tie rod thread protrusion.
(See section D Test procedures and
adjustments.)
9. Screw the housing together according to
the specification Crankcase bolts Second
stage. (See section D Tightening torques und
assembly instructions.)
