SPECIFICATIONS
VALVE LASH
Check the valve lash with a cold engine.
1. Remove the ignition coils and valve cover.
2. Check the valve lash

first on the cylinder
where the rocker arms

have a certain
amount of play.
Required valve lash:
A
Intake side 0,1 – 0,2 mm
B
Exhaust side 0,2 – 0,3 mm
3. If the valve lash is incorrect, remove the rocker
arm and replace the valve adjustment shim.
4. Rotate the crankshaft in the rotation direction
until the rocker arms on the other cylinder have
a certain amount of play.
5. Repeat the procedure on the other cylinder.
Check spark plug gap with a cold engine.
1. Remove the ignition coils and spark plugs.
2. Check the spark plug gap

Required spark plug gap:
0,69 – 0,84 mm [0.028 – 0.032 in]
3. If the spark plug gap is incorrect, replace the
spark plug.
Always replace spark plugs in pairs.
