SPECIFICATIONS
1. When replacing the crankshaft or con rod,
check the con rod bearing play.
Required con rod bearing play "A":
0,025 – 0,040 mm
2. If the con rod bearing play is incorrect, repeat
the procedure with another con rod bearing
shell thickness.
The thicknesses of the upper and lower con rod
bearing shell may differ.
The con rod bearing shells are marked on the side
in color. Each color represent a specific thickness
of the con rod bearing shell. Available sizes con
rod bearing shells, see spare parts catalog.
CON ROD BEARING PLAY
1. When replacing the crankshaft or crankcase,
check the main bearing play.
Required main bearing play "B":
0,04 – 0,06 mm
2. If the main bearing play is incorrect, repeat
the procedure with another main bearing shell
thickness.
The thicknesses of the upper and lower main
bearing shell may differ.
The main bearing shells are marked on the side
in color. Each color represent a specific thickness
of the main bearing shell. Available sizes main
bearing shells, see spare parts catalog.

VALVE TIMING
1. Remove the valve cover and generator.
Observe the positioning pin and positioning
bore

2. Hold the TDC-adjusting tool

in position.
Use the bolts M10x1x35 that you removed from the
rotor.

7 mm: Install two bolts
