TestingtheNeutralSwitches
Theneutralswitchesandtheircircuitwiringcanbetestedusingthehour
meter/controllerdisplaywhenthekeyswitchisintheONposition.Iftesting
determinesthateitherswitchorthecircuitwiringarenotfunctioningcorrectly,
proceedwiththefollowingtestprocedure:
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandsetthekeyswitchtotheOFF
position.
2.Ensurethattheneutralswitchesareproperlyadjusted;refertoAdjusting
theNeutralSwitches(page6–15).
3.SetthekeyswitchtotheRUNposition.TheLEDonthebackoftheaeration
enableswitchshouldilluminatewhenthetractioncontrolleverisinthe
NEUTRALposition,andextinguishwhenthetractioncontrolleverismovedin
theFORWARDandREVERSEdirections.
4.SetthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionanddisconnectthewireharness
connectorfromtheswitch.Checktheswitchandtheharnessconnectorfor
damageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairifnecessary.
5.Useamultimetertocheckthemainwireharnessconnector.
