1.Ensurethatallthethreads,thesealingsurfacesoftting,andthecomponent
portarefreeofburrs,nicks,scratches,orunwantedmaterial.
2.Tohelppreventahydraulicleak,replacetheO-ringwhenyouopenthe
connection.
3.LightlylubricatetheO-ringwithcleanhydraulicuid.Ensurethatthethreads
ofthettingarecleanwithnolubricantapplied.
4.Turnbackthelocknutasfaraspossible.Ensurethattheback-upwasheris
notlooseanditispushedupasfaraspossiblewithoutgoingovertheupper
threads(threadsthejamnutengagewith)(Step1inFigure23).
5.Installtheadjustablettingintotheportbyhanduntilthewashercontactsthe
faceoftheport(Step2inFigure23).
6.Iftheadjustablettingneedstoalignwithanothercomponent,rotatethetting
counterclockwiseuntilitisalignedtothedesiredposition(Step3inFigure
23).Donotrotatetheadjustablettingmorethan1turncounterclockwise.
IMPORTANT
Beforetighteningthetting,determinethematerialusedfortheport
thettingisbeinginstalledin.Installingattingintoannon–ferrous
portrequiresreducingtheinstallationtorque.
