Electrical System
Starting Problems
Problem Possible Causes
No electrical power to machine. The battery is discharged.
The battery cables are loose or corroded.
Fusible link at starter motor is faulty.
Fuse(s) is (are) faulty.
A faulty ground connection exists on machine.
The ignition switch or circuit wiring is faulty.
Main power relay or circuit wiring is faulty.
Nothing happens when start attempt is made.
InfoCenter display operates with the ignition switch in
the RUN position.
NOTE: Use InfoCenter Display to assist with identifying
problem.
Range selector is not in the neutral position (Advisory
will be displayed on InfoCenter Display).
Operator seat is not occupied and parking brake is not
engaged (Advisory will be displayed on InfoCenter
Display).
Accelerator pedal is not released to the HOME position
(Advisory will be displayed on InfoCenter Display).
Spray pump switch is ON (Advisory will be displayed
on InfoCenter Display).
Battery cables are loose or corroded.
Battery ground cable to frame is loose or corroded.
Battery is discharged or faulty.
Fuse is faulty.
Start relay or circuit wiring is faulty.
Wiring to start circuit components is loose, corroded or
damaged (see Chapter 10 − Electrical Drawings).
Neutral switch or circuit wiring is faulty.
Ignition switch or circuit wiring is faulty.
Fuse block is faulty.
Engine starter solenoid is faulty.
