9.Afterservicingthe12Vdcsystem,coatthebatterypostsandthecableconnectorswithbatteryterminal
protector(ToroPartNo.107-0392)orpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
10.Installtherubberbootontothepositivebatterycable.
11.Installthebatterycover.
12.Closethescreenandsecureitwiththescreenlatch.
ConnectingandDisconnectingthe48VdcBattery
System
CAUTION
Beforeinstalling,removing,orservicingcomponentsinthe48Vdcsystem(i.e.,cuttingreel
motorsandmotor/generatorsystems),unplugthe48Vdcbatterydisconnect.Thisprevents
unexpectedoperationof48Vdcsystemcomponents.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandlowerthecuttingunits.
2.Shutofftheengine,applytheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
3.Releasethelatchfortheoperator’sseat,rotatetheseatup,andsupportit.
4.Locatethe48Vdcbatterydisconnect,whichisattachedtotherightframerailundertheoperator’s
seat(Figure6).
