Toro Reelmaster 5010- H - Chapter 3: Setup; Preparing the Machine

1.PresstheLeftbutton.
TheMainMenuappears.
2.VerifythattheFaultsmenuitemisselected,andthenpresstheRightbutton.
TheFaultsscreenappears.
3.PresstheMiddlebuttontoscrolldownthroughthefaultsuntilClearSystemFaultsisselected.
4.PresstheRightbutton.
Aconrmationscreenappears.
5.PresstheMiddlebuttontoconrmclearingtheInfoCenterfaultlog.
An“Allfaultscleared”messageappears.
6.PresstheLeftbuttonasneededtoreturntotheMainMenuscreen.
Note:Somefaultsclearwhenyouturntheengineoffandthenstarttheengine.Afterthefaultclears,youcan
resumenormaloperationofthemachine.
Ifafaultrepeatseachtimeyoustarttheengine,conductdiagnostictroubleshootingoftheaffectedsystem
andrelatedcomponents.
PreparingforTroubleshootingand/orTesting
CAUTION
Rings,watches,bracelets,necklaces,andotherjewelrycancauseanelectricalshockor
becomeentangledwiththemachine.
Removealljewelry,especiallyringsandwatches,beforedoinganytroubleshootingortesting.
Beforeperformingtroubleshootingand/ortestingproceduresonthemachine,dothefollowingsteps:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.EnsurethatthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.
3.Shutoffandlowerthecuttingunits.Waitforallthemovementtostop.
4.Engagetheparkingbrake.
5.MovetheenginespeedswitchtotheLOWIDLEpositionandwaitfortheenginetoslowtolowidlespeed.
6.Shutofftheengineandremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
CAUTION
Performingcontinuitytestingonelectricalcomponentswiththe12Vdcand/or48Vdc
powerconnectedcanleadtosevereelectricalshock.
Disconnectpowerfromthemachinebeforetestingelectricalcomponents.
7.Disconnectthe12Vdcbatterybeforeservicingthemachine,unlessitisneededfortroubleshootingor
testing.RefertoConnectingandDisconnectingthe12VdcBattery(page17).
8.Beforeinstalling,removing,orworkingonthe48Vdcsystem,isolatethecomponents(e.g.,cuttingreel
motors,motor/generator,etc.)byunpluggingthe48Vdcbatterydisconnect.RefertoConnectingand
Disconnectingthe48VdcBatterySystem(page19).
Themachineisnowreadyfortestinganddiagnosticworktotakeplace.
ReturningtheMachinetoService
Ensureoptimumperformanceandcontinuedsafetybyperformingallstepsinthefollowingprocedureafterall
diagnostic,maintenance,and/orrepairactivitiesarecomplete:
1.Removealldiagnosticequipmentandtoolsthatareattachedtothemachinefortroubleshootingorrepair.
