Important:Whenanyindividualcuttingreelmotorisshutoffduetoafault,theTEC-5002shutsoff
theother4cuttingreelmotors.Thismayresultinmultiplemachinefaultsbeingreportedwithinafew
seconds.Troubleshootingshouldbeginwiththerstcuttingreelmotortoreportafault.
Note:All48Vdcdevicesareconnectedtothesame48Vdcbus.Ifthisisasystemissue,theTEC-5002
combinesall6ofthe48VdcBusUndervoltfaults(faults88though93)andreportsafault29(48VBattery
LowVoltage).

Thecuttingreelmotorreportsthatthe48Vdcbusvoltageismeasuredatlessthan32Vdc.
CircuitDescription
Eachcuttingunithasanelectriccuttingreelmotorthatcontainsaninternalcontroller.Theinternalcontroller
measures48Vdclogicpower,andtheelectriccuttingreelmotormeasures48Vdcbuspower.
•Ifonly1cuttingreelmotorisreportinga48Vdcbusundervoltfault,theproblemismorelikelytobewith
theeReelmotorfuseforthatcuttingreelmotor,orwiththe2-pinwireharnessconnectorforthatcutting
reelmotor.
•Ifmorethan1cuttingreelmotorisreportinga48Vdcbusundervoltfault,theproblemismorelikelytobe
withthe48Vdcsystem.
ConditionsforSettingtheFault
Thecuttingreelmotormeasuresthevoltageonthe48Vdcbusislessthan32Vdc.
Note:TheTEC-5002ltersthisfaultandreportsitonlywhenthemotor/generatorcontactorisclosed.

Step1:Verifythatthefaultrepeats.
1.ClearthesystemfaultsfromtheInfoCenter.RefertoClearingFaultsfromtheInfoCenter(page21).
2.Operatethemachine.

1.GotoPreparingforTroubleshootingand/orT esting(page22)andfollowthestepslisted.
2.Unplugthe48Vdcbatterydisconnecttopreventunexpectedcuttingunitoperation.RefertoConnecting
andDisconnectingthe48VdcBatterySystem(page19).
