2 Security and Login
IMPORTANT
To get the best possible protection in your PCMS, you must change the
administrator password (see section 9.2) and the community name for the
administrator (see section 2.3).
2.1 User Profiles
The Touchscreen Controller has three levels of security that correspond to three User
profiles:
Viewer:
 can access Home screen only
 can check of the status of the PCMS unit
Guest:
 password protected account
o can change their own password
 can access limited device operating functions
 can blank the sign, select and display a message from:
o QuickPick image bank
o Library (contains permanent messages)
o Collection (messages previously created for that
PCMS unit)
 can access Maintenance and run tests on the different
hardware components of the panel, as needed
 can start/stop Schedules
Administrator:
 has complete access to device functions
 password protected account
o can change their own password
