10 Troubleshooting
This chapter is intended as a first step in diagnosing touchscreen problems yourself. Ver-Mac
support will be in a much better position to help you if you have managed to perform some
basic troubleshooting procedures before you contact them.
Troubleshooting is not intended to be a complete guide to all possible problems. It contains
information on how to resolve some of the common difficulties that operators may experience
when using Ver-Mac’s touchscreen units.
10.1 Status Warnings
Below is a table of possible warnings that can occur within the status dialogue on the
home screen.
Displays if any errors associated with the climate control systems such as
fans and/or heaters occurs
Displays if any error associated with communications between the remote
central computer and the device occurs. This is disabled by default
Displays if any error associated with an attached, supported, and enabled
external devices occurs
Displays if any door to any DMS field component (cabinet or housing) is
open
Displays if any humidity sensor is reporting an error
Displays if any errors associated with activating and/or displaying a
message occurs
No errors have been detected
Displays if any errors associated with the supported light sensors occurs
Displays if any errors associated with any pixel occurs
Displays if any error associated with the power supply to any component
occurs
Displays if any of the temperature values detected by the device exceed
non-standardized temperature values
Displays if the critical temperature as defined by the value of the critical
temperature objects have been exceeded
