8.17 GPS
The GPS function is available to both guest and admin users and offers the user a
bird’s-eye view of the intersection and the precise position of each unit. The information
displayed can assist in fleet management.

1. In the Options screen, tap GPS to have the PCMS positioning on the
map.
2. Select unit number and tap Zoom In/Refresh/Zoom Out to arrange the map
view.
3. Select any Operations button to access other functions that are available to
you.
The National Transportation Communications for Intelligent Transportation
System Protocol (NTCIP) is a family of standards designed to achieve interoperability
and interchangeability between computers and electronic traffic control equipment from
different manufacturers.
This screen is where you change your defaults if you wish all messages to be NTCIP-
compliant. Changes in this screen will affect all permanent messages at once and will
be applied to new messages until you change formatting in the Message Editor.
