Instructions concerning specific components
Cables, bulbs and fuses
Always observe the following instructions:
• Malfunctioning components of the electrical system must always be replaced by an
authorized technician. Bulbs and fuses may be changed by unqualified persons.
• When performing maintenance on the electrical system, pay particular attention to
ensuring good contact in leads and fuses.
• Blown fuses indicate overloading or short circuits. The electrical system must therefore
be checked before installing the new fuse.
• Only use fuses with the specified load capacity (amperage)– see chapter Fuse box
behind the seat on the left on page 6-4
Alternator
Always observe the following instructions:
• Only test run the engine with the battery connected.
• When connecting the battery, ensure that the poles (+/−) are not inverted.
• Always disconnect the battery before performing welding work or connecting a quick
battery charger.
