PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Hydraulic Side Supports
Go Down Before Or At
Same Time As Log
Turner
Dirt in sequence valve Remove sequence valves and clean thoroughly with
kerosene. NOTE: Be sure to reassemble the valve
and install it in its original position on the cylinder.
Retainer in sequence valve
worn
Replace sequence valve
Low air temperature causing
fluid to thicken
Allow fluid to warm up. Synthetic fluids are available
that allow for hydraulic operation in cold weather
conditions (Mobil SHC 526).
Hydraulic Turner Goes
Up Before Or At Same
Time As Side Supports
Spring weakening in sequence
valve
Locate sequence valve at top of turner cylinder. Turn
heavy spring in about 1/4 turn.
