GENERAL
5. Measure:
Compression pressure
Below minimum compression pres-
sure Inspect valve clearance, valve
face, valve seat, piston rings, cylinder
sleeve, piston, cylinder head gasket
and cylinder head.
6. Remove:
Compression gauge
7. Install:
Spark plug(-s)
Compression pressure:
Minimum:
950 kPa (9.5 kg/cm
2
, 135 psi)
Measurement steps:
Remove the lock plate from the engine
stop lanyard switch on the remote
control box.
With the throttle wide open, crank the
engine setting the main switch in the
START position until the reading on
the compression gauge stabilizes.
Oil pressure measurement
1. Warm-up:
Engine
2. Remove:
Oil pressure switch
3. Install:
Oil pressure gauge 1
(into the oil pressure switch hole)
NOTE:
Use a pressure gauge with the range of 0 to
10 kg/cm
2
and an adopter with a PT 1/8
thread.
