Carburetor pickup timing check and adjust-
ment
1. Check:
●
Carburetor pickup timing
Incorrect → Adjust.
2. Adjust:
●
Throttle link
Checking steps:
●
Return the throttle control lever to the
fully closed position.
●
Check that the mark B on the accelera-
tor cam aligns with the center of the
carburetor synchronization rod A as
shown.
Adjustment steps:
●
Move the throttle control lever 3 until
it touches the fully closed stopper 4 .
●
Make sure that the throttle is fully
closed, and align the fully closed mark
B on the accelerator cam 5 with the
center of the carburetor synchroniza-
tion rod A.
●
Adjust the length of the joint link 2 ,
and securely tighten the nut 1 .
●
Move the throttle control lever 3 to
check that the throttle valve opens and
closes smoothly. Also, make sure that
the carburetor throttle roller 6 moves
freely to the fully open position 7 on
the accelerator cam 5 .
●
Set the throttle to the fully closed posi-
tion and check that the fully closed
mark B aligns with the center of the
synchronization rod A.
●
Make sure that there is no interference
between the throttle control lever 3
and the throttle sensor lead 8 .
NOTE:
Make sure that there is complete clear-
ance between the carburetor throttle roller
6 and the cam surface.
