REMOVING THE ENGINE
NOTE:

It is not necessary to remove the engine in
order to remove the following components.
Cylinder head
Cylinder
Piston
Starter clutch
Starter motor
Kickstarter shaft
V-belt
Primary sheave
Secondary sheave
Transmission
Rear wheel assembly
Oil pump
A.C. magneto
ENGINE OIL
1. Drain:
engine oil
Refer to CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL in
chapter 3.
COVERS
1. Remove:
footboard
Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT COWL-
ING AND LEG SHIELD in chapter 3.
CARBURETOR
1. Remove:
fuel tank
Refer to FUEL TANK in chapter 5.
air filter case
Refer to AIR FILTER CASE in chapter 5.
carburetor assembly
Refer to CARBURETOR in chapter 5.
