FRONT FORK

DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Remove:
• fork spring
2. Drain:
• fork oil
NOTE:
_
Stroke the inner tube
1
several times while
draining the fork oil.
3. Remove:
• dust seal
1
• oil seal clip
2
(with a flat-head screwdriver)
CAUTION:
_
Do not scratch the inner tube.

4. Remove:
• damper rod assembly bolt
1
• copper washer
NOTE:
_
While holding the damper rod assembly with
the hexagon socket wrench (10 mm)

and
the T-handle
3, loosen the damper rod
assembly bolt 1.
5. Remove:
• inner tube
• damper rod
• rebound spring
NOTE:
_
Pull out the inner tube and damper rod
together.
6. Remove:
• oil seal 1
CAUTION:
_
Never reuse the oil seal.
