15 Interbus-S Slave AB3615
15.1 Interbus-S Interface Details
The Interbus-S 2Mbit/s module is a slave node that can be read from/written to by an Interbus master.
Being a slave module, it cannot initiate communication to other nodes; it only responds to incoming
requests.
Galvanically isolated bus electronics.
Up to 10 words of cyclic in/out data => 20 bytes in 20 bytes out => 160 bits in 160 bits out.
No settings needed in maintenance mode.
Baudrate. Setting only possible by changing jumper on physical AnyBus card. See below. The
module supports 2Mbit/s and 500kbit/s operation.
Physical Addressing. No setting. The addressing in a Interbus-S system is automatically assigned
to devices using their physical location.
No “Process Data” (parameter data) is used.
15.2 Card
Caution
The card contains ESD sensitive components. Observe ESD precautions when handling the
card.

The top connector is bus IN interface. The bottom connector, above the LEDs, is bus OUT interface.
