3.2 Basic Key Operations
Operation of Other Keys in Operation Mode
Procedure
Operation Keys
START/STOP Key
Starts/stops the data acquisition to the internal memory. The waveform display on the
trend screen is also started/stopped.
For the operating procedure, see section 7.2.
On models with the computation function option (/M1, /PM1), this key is also used to
start/stop the computation and report.
USER Key
Executes the function assigned to it.
For the procedure in assigning a function to the USER key, see section 9.1.

Operation Keys
Selecting Setup Items on the Menu
When the FX100 enters setting mode, a setting menu appears as shown in the figure
below. In this menu, select the items you wish to set by pressing the soft keys. To
close this menu, press the ESC key.
Selecting Setup Items on the Setting Display
1. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor (blue) to the appropriate item box.
The soft keys corresponding to the item are displayed at the bottom section of
the display.
