You can enable the automatic generation of internal timecode
to preserve continuity when there is no external timecode.

• This cannot be set when Mode is set to Off, Int Free Run, Int

Setting the user bits for internal timecode
User bits are data that you can set to be included in the time-
code. Up to 8 numbers (0–9) and letters (A–F) can be included.
Recording date information, for example, can be useful when
editing later.
