The Thermostat is a safety device and is connected in series
with the Dryer Element. Should the temperature at the
Thermostat exceed 60
o
C, the Thermostat shuts OFF power to
the heater element. No signal is sent to the operator as the
thermostat shuts the power down. Power is reinstated after
about two (2) minutes. The most common cause of a
thermostat shut off is failure of the blower fan or a locked
rotor.
