Maintenance Procedures
Overview
The Abbott VP 2000 Processor has been designed for two (2)
levels of maintenance:
• Level I: User Maintenance
– Installation
–Cleaning
–Drain Wash Tank
• Level II: Field Service Maintenance
– Diagnostics and replacement of Field Replaceable
Modules
– Diagnostics and replacement of Field Replaceable
Components
– Field Upgrades
– Installation of Accessories
Only Abbott Molecular trained, authorized Field Service
personnel may perform Level II maintenance. Unauthorized
maintenance will void warranties.
The Abbott VP 2000 Processor has been designed for Field
Diagnostics and Repair at the Replaceable Module Level. The
Field Technician will attempt to determine which Field
Replaceable Modules or Field Replaceable Components may be
causing a malfunction and replace them with good modules or
components.
The suspected faulty modules may be returned to Abbott
Molecular for repair or replacement.
