Inserting a Cell
Your spectrophotometer is shipped with the standard single-cell cell
holder you must first install in the sample compartment. This cell holder
accommodates standard cells or flow cells. To insert a sample cell
(cuvette) in the cell holder:
1 Move the locking lever to its up position. 2 Insert the sample cell, making sure you orient it
correctly. The frosted (non-clear) sides of the
sample cell should not be in the path of the light
beam.
3 Lock the sample cell in place by pushing the
locking lever back down.
Small volume flow cells and particularly any cells
with less than a 2 mm aperture may require use of
the optional adjustable cell holder. The adjustable
cell holder helps you ensure the cells are properly
centered in the light path.
