Using this Manual

No special knowledge is needed to read this manual and follow its directions.
If the system will be used to communicate with a higher level controller, we
assume you are familiar with communication terminology.
Some chapters in this manual contain examples of how to enter data or
commands. The following conventions are used:
The Catalog No. 2755-DH1 Multi–Purpose Bar Code Workstation will be
referred to as the decoder.
The programming command names will be italicized as shown below:
Enable Next Read
Carets, < >, are used when you are to enter variable data. For
example, <n>, means you enter the value of
n
at that point.
Escape sequences and variables will be shown in another type style, for
example:
Esc – y 5 Z
ATTENTION: This laser caution symbol appears where laser
radiation is present.
