Check that the valve stem eccentricity
is within the specified values; replace
the valve if necessary.

Fasten the valve in horizontal position,
as shown in the figure, and turn it to
check the eccentricity with a dial
gauge; if necessary, replace the part.
NOTE
IF THE VALVE IS REMOVED OR REPLACED, ALWAYS RE-
PLACE THE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL AS WELL.
