Installing the flywheel
INERTIAL RING FITTING PROCEDURE
CAUTION
FIT THE INERTIAL RING IF YOU WISH TO OBTAIN A SOFT-
ER ENGINE OUTPUT WHEN ACCELERATING AND IM-
PROVED VEHICLE SMOOTHNESS WHEN RELEASING
THE THROTTLE GRIP.
•
Insert the two reference dowels sup-
plied, in the specific holes and fit the
ring; there is only one possible posi-
tion.
•
Fit the six fixing screws supplied and
tighten them to the prescribed torque.
Locking torques (N*m)
Freewheel outside ring screws - M6x1 13 Nm
(9.58 lbf ft) - Loctite 270
•
Refit the flywheel and tighten the fixing nut to the prescribed torque.
•
Refit the ignition cover and tighten the fixing screws to the prescribed torque.
•
Restore oil level.
Locking torques (N*m)
Flywheel nut - M14x1 108 Nm (79.66 lbf ft) Ignition cover screw - M6x1 9.8 Nm (7.23 lbf ft)
