Position the rear wheel.

Position the chain.
•
Working on both sides, insert the cen-
tring shim washers.
•
Working from the left side, insert the
wheel axle.
•
Working on the right side, position the washer and screw but do not tighten the wheel axle
fixing nut.
•
Adjust the chain tension operating the set screws.
•
Tighten the wheel bolt fixing nut.
Locking torques (N*m)
Wheel axle nut - M25 120 Nm (88.51 lbf ft)

The rear suspension consists of a spring-shock absorber unit linked to the frame via uniball joints and
to the rear swingarm via a linkage system. To adjust the setting, the shock absorber is fitted with a set
screw that adjusts hydraulic rebound damping (1), with a set screw (2) that adjusts hydraulic compres-
sion damping (low speed), with a knob (6) that adjusts hydraulic compression damping (high speed)
and a ring nut that adjusts spring preloading (3) and a locking ring nut (4).
