APRILIA MXV 450 - Gearbox Oil

•
Remove spring (3).
•
Remove valve (4) from its seat using a
M10x1.25 screw, if required.
•
Clean valve (4) with a jet of com-
pressed air.
•
Let oil flow out of the seat, refit valve
(4) and check smoothness.
•
Fit the spring (3).
•
Tighten the oil pressure regulating
valve cap (2).
•
Add engine oil through the fill opening
(1).
•
Screw and tighten the oil filling / drain-
age plugs.
•
Start the engine and let it run for sev-
eral minutes.
•
Stop the engine.
•
Unscrew and take out the oil filler plug
(1).
•
Check engine oil level and top up, if re-
quired.
•
Refit the oil sump guard.

CAUTION
GEAR OIL LEVEL MUST BE CHECKED WHEN THE ENGINE IS WARM.
