Check the gear fork movement on the shaft; re-
place the gear forks if it is not smooth.
Assembling the gearbox
On the engine crankcase there are two 3mm (0.12
in) holes to enhance lubrication of gears III and IV.
Check that they are not clogged.

Draw together the gear main and sec-
ondary shafts and fit them into the
crankcase on the clutch side.
NOTE
SECURE THE SHIM WASHER TO THE SECONDARY
SHAFT WITH GREASE.
NOTE
MAKE SURE THE SLIDING BUSHING IS PRESENT ON EV-
ERY GEAR CONTROL FORK.

Grease the bushings.
