IF YOU RIDE THE VEHICLE IN A SPORTY FASHION, SOME OIL SPLATTER MAY GET TO THE
AIR FILTER HOUSING THROUGH THE ENGINE VENT. IN THIS CASE EXCESS OIL GETS DE-
POSITED INSIDE THE TRANSPARENT PIPE (2).
CAUTION
DO NOT GO BEYOND THE MAX AND BELOW THE MIN LEVEL MARKS TO AVOID SEVERE EN-
GINE DAMAGE.
•
Unscrew and remove the filler plug (3).
•
Top-up to the right engine oil level.
CAUTION
DO NOT ADD ADDITIVES OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCES
TO THE OIL. WHEN USING A FUNNEL OR ANY OTHER EL-
EMENT, MAKE SURE IT IS PERFECTLY CLEAN.
NOTE
USE OIL RECOMMENDED IN THE PRODUCTS TABLE.
Replacement
•
Keep the vehicle upright with the two
wheels on the ground.
•
Stop the engine and let it cool off so
that the oil in the crankcase flows down
and cools as well.
•
Undo the screws and lower the oil
sump guard.
•
Unscrew and take out the oil filler plug
(1).
•
Place a container to collect the oil un-
derneath the engine oil drainage plug
on the flywheel side.
•
Unscrew and remove the oil drainage
plug (2) and then drain all the engine
oil.
•
Unscrew and remove the oil drainage
plug (3) and then drain all the engine
oil.
•
Replace the engine oil filter.
•
Screw and tighten both oil drainage
plugs (2 - 3).
