20 Programme Selector Configuration
Programme Selectors allow remote selection of alternative sources to a specific zone or zones. Selecting a
Programme Selector position causes the input assigned to this position to be routed to the outputs
associated to the Programme Selector.
Programme Selectors are connected to Remote I/O Unit analogue inputs.
To Connect a Programme Selector to a Remote I/O Unit:
1. Select the Remote I/O Unit to be programmed by selecting its unit address on the RS485 bus.
Menu: ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆCtrlÆRemote
L
The unit address should match the address set by a switch internal to the unit.
2. Select the Remote I/O Unit analogue input to which the Programme Selector is connected.
Menu: ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆCtrlÆRemoteÆUnit address <n>ÆAnalogue
3. Select ‘Selector’.
Menu: ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆCtrlÆRemoteÆUnit address <n>ÆAnalogue
ÆAnalogue channel=<nn>ÆSelector
The currently configured option (UNUSED in the example) is displayed in upper-case letters.
4. Select the Router outputs associated to the Programme Selector.
Menu: ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆCtrlÆRemoteÆUnit address <n>ÆAnalogue
ÆAnalogue channel=<nn>ÆSelector
5. Configure the inputs assigned to the Volume Control positions.
Menu: ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆCtrlÆRemoteÆUnit address <n>ÆAnalogue
ÆAnalogue channel=<nn>ÆVolume
L
There should be only one Programme Selector associated with an output or group of
outputs. Associating an output with more than one Program Selector would cause
unpredictable results.
