VAR8 Menu Description
Ref. Item Description/Possible Settings
89 Amp sleep Allows the amplifier sleep mode to be one of:
Suppressed.
Enabled: the amplifiers are shutdown and re-awaked only when an
announcement is required and every 20 seconds to allow the surveillance
tone to be routed.
Enable on battery power: the system only sleeps the amplifiers when mains
power has failed.
Default value:
‘Suppressed’
90 Host T/Out
Enables the user to define and enable/disable the time the Router waits for a
message from the host system before clearing any routes that have been
instigated by the host system.
Possible values:
‘Enabled’ or ‘Disabled’
Mins: 1 to 5
Default value:
‘Enabled Mins: 1’
L Note that for V1.4.0120, Host Timeout menu option is displayed instead of
Host T/Out.
91 Off Enables the user to activate the Night Time Volume Control.
Possible values:
‘Off’ or ‘On’
Default value:
‘Off’
92 Times
Enables the user to set the period of time each day when the Night Time Volume
Control will be activated.
Default values:
SUN ‘Sta:22:00 Dur:10:00’
MON –SAT ‘Sta:23:00 Dur:9:00’
93 Outputs
Enables the user to configure the output level gain during the Night Time Volume
Control period.
Possible values:
40 to 0dB (1 dB step)
Default value:
‘0dB
94 Inputs
Enables the user to configure the inputs affected by the Night Time Volume
Control. The inputs may be from Slave Unit (Local) or from the Audio Control Unit
(Network).
Possible values:
‘Disabled’ or ‘Enabled’
Default value:
‘Disabled’
95 I/P #n – MIC/LINE n
Enables the user to scroll through the Mic/Line, Music and Mute inputs for
selection and configuration.
Inputs: I/P #1 to #8 – MIC/LINE inputs
I/P #9 – SLAVE MUSIC
I/P #10 – SLAVE MUTE
A Mic/Line input may be configured as one of:
Unused
Fire Microphone
Zoned Fire Microphone
Paging Microphone
Single Button Microphone
Network Channel
Miscellaneous Input
Once the input type has been selected for a given input, applicable sub-menus
are presented.
L Network Channel may be configured only on inputs 1, 3, and 4.
Fire Microphones may only be configured on inputs 1 or 2.
The input name shown is the default name. It may vary according to the
local configuration.
Inputs 1&2 support up to 30 microphone buttons.
Inputs 3 to 8 support up to 20 microphone buttons.
