The Sleep Mode is provided to maximise the battery life.
‘Suppressed’
The Sleep Mode is suppressed, and the amplifiers are awake all the time the system is turned on.
‘Enabled’
In this mode the amplifiers the amplifiers are shutdown and re-awaked only when an announcement
is required and every 20 seconds to allow the 30 Hz surveillance tone to be routed.
This is the typical setting.
‘Enable on battery power’
A slight audible click may be heard when shutting down and re-awaking the amplifiers in quiet
environments, so it may be desirable to set the function to ‘Enable on battery power’. In this mode,
the system only sleeps the amplifiers when mains power has failed.
