Filler Cap Assembly Removal
and Installation
The tools required for filler cap assembly removal
and installation are listed in Table 8-2. Use manufac-
turer-recommended tools whenever possible.

Filler Cap Assembly Removal
! WARNING !
Hot oil can cause personal injury. Make sure the oil is
cool before removing any components or lines.
Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is
stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with
your bare hand.

1. Pull the filler cap off and remove the six screws
from around the base of the filler cap flange.

2. Remove the filler cap flange.

3. Pull the filler cap screen out of the reservoir.
